COE: FY 2011 Department of Education Justifications of Appropriation Estimates to the Congress

Dear TRIO Colleague:

Please see the link below to see the Department of Education's justification of the TRIO Budget. COE will be sending out additional materials this week but I wanted to make sure you were aware of the information that has been recently released. Once again, with the flat funding of TRIO, there is much work to be done to increase the federal appropriation through the Congressional process.

As all of you know, this is the first step in a very long process and with this being an election year, your voices matter more than ever! Please look for additional materials in the coming days from the government relations team in Washington as well as an agenda for state outreach calls next week. Your voices, and the voices of your students and alumni, are critical to success! I know we are discouraged by the President's mark for TRIO, but together, we will make an impact and see this number increase.
