Josephine Barnor

The University of Tennessee

Knoxville

Josephine is a rising senior at The University of Tennessee in Knoxville, TN.  She has a GPA of 3.52 and is an Accounting and International Business major.  Her career goal is to become a Certified Public Accountant.  She is a participant in The Educational Advancement Program where Dr. Ronald McFadden is her sponsor and the Director.

Dylan Craig Mooney

Middle Tennessee State University

Murfreesboro, TN

Dylan is a 2014 graduate of Grundy County High School, in Coalmont, TN.  He plans to attend Chattanooga State.  Dylan has a GPA 0f 3.43 and a composite ACT score of 18.  He plans to major in Entrepreneurship.  His career goal is to become a business owner of a sports shop or recreational center.  He is a participant in the ETS program where Ms. Kay Layne is his sponsor and Nancy Blois-Giles is the Director.

Joseph Yon

East Tennessee State University

Johnson City Grant

Joseph is a 2014 graduate of Elizabethton High School, in Elizabethton, TN.  He plans to attend East Tennessee State University in June 2014 through the Upward Bound Bridge Program.  Joseph has a GPA of 3.23 and an ACT composite score of 24.  Joseph plans to major in Parks and Recreation Management. His career goal is to become a Park Ranger at a National Park. Dr. Ronnie Gross, his sponsor, serves as the Director of the Upward Bound Program of which he is a participant. 

 

Holly Nelms

East Tennessee State University

Bristol Grant

Holly is a 2014 graduate of Sullivan Central High School, in Blountville, TN.  She plans to attend Milligan College.  Holly has a GPA of 4.0 and an ACT composite score of 29.  Holly plans to major in Journalism.  Her career goal is to be a news/feature article writer for a newspaper.  Dr. Ronnie Gross, her sponsor, serves as the Director of the Upward Bound program of which she is a participant.

Coreka Reed

Coreka is a 2014 graduate of Brainerd High School, in Chattanooga, TN.  She plans to attend the University of Tennessee-Knoxville.  Coreka has a GPA of 3.6 and an ACT composite score of 21.  Coreka plans to major in Psychology/Social Work.  Her career goal is to become a therapist.   She is a participant in the Upward Bound Math/Science where Mrs. Angelnetta Ulmer is her sponsor and Ms. Twyler Boykin is the Director.
